Eligibility |
The Greener Ventures 2004 Business Plan Competition is open to any start-up team or company having one or more members with a Dartmouth affiliation (student, alumnus, faculty, researcher, or staff). |

Submission |
Designate a primary contact for your
team.
Limit plans to 10 pages and include a 1-page
executive summary which may be handed out to audience members if
you are invited to present.
Submit business plans by 5:00 PM Wednesday,
April 7, to the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network (DEN). E-mail
sian.muir@dartmouth.edu
or deliver a hard copy to the DEN office at 14 South Main Street,
2F, Hanover, NH 03755.
Note: The Greener Ventures 2004 Business Plan
Competition is a public event. No information given by entrants
will be kept confidential. Entrants may be invited on or before
April 14 to give a presentation as part of the process of selecting
the three finalists for the April 24th competition. |

Presentations |
Three finalists will be selected to
present and compete at the conference on April 24. Powerpoint presentations
should have no more than 10 slides and should cover market, value
proposition and product, competition, financing needs, financial
projections, timeline, and team.
Finalists must e-mail their Powerpoint presentations
to sian.muir@dartmouth.edu
by 2 PM on April 22 and be available in person before 2 PM on April
24 to ensure their presentation operates correctly.
Beginning at 3:15 PM on April 24, each team
will give a 10-minute presentation to a panel of judges. The panel
will then have 10 minutes to ask questions and provide on-the-spot
feedback and reactions. All time limits will be strictly enforced. |

Judging |
Business plans will be evaluated on conception and whether the team's pitch justifies funding. The results will be announced and the prizes awarded at the mixer in Stell Hall following the contest. |

Prizes |
There will be a first prize of $4,000,
and $500 to each of the other two finalists.
